In a world where magic is commonplace, Lady Felicity Seymour, heir to two magically powerful parents, cannot even cast a simple spell. When her test to see if she will inherit her duchy doesn't go well, she is left bereft. As if that wasn't enough, she is being tormented magically by an unknown source. She is at her lowest point when she meets the seductive Sir Terence Blackwell. Ignored or forgotten all of her life, Felicity is surprised to encounter a man who notices and remembers her. A golden god of a man who awakens desires in her she's never before experienced.

Sir Terence Blackwell is a baronet; a shape-shifter with no magical abilities. As soon as he beholds Felicity, he is immediately affected by her beauty. Although he is taken with her he senses an underlying hint of relic-magic surrounding her. Relic-magic was used to kill his beloved brother, and Terence has been hunting it ever since. He is suspicious of her but also very drawn to her.

The two meet at a ball when Terence rescues Felicity from being crushed by the throng of people. Both feel a strong physical reaction to the other and before the end of the night share a passionate kiss. Terence decides to court (but not actually marry) Felicity to get close to her and discover the source of the relic-magic he senses in her. The more time he spends with her however, the more his desire for her grows.

I was thoroughly enchanted by Terence and Felicity. There have been few books where both protagonists appealed to me so much, and this was one of them. They are both highly likable and exceedingly charming. They made a wonderful couple and I was completely smitten with them through the entire novel. Terence was noble and wonderfully sexy, being a were-lion I loved that he could barely control his animal instincts when he was near Felicity. Felicity tugged at my heart, she was kind and loyal and only wanted to be loved. The supporting characters were also very likable, colorful and unique. I really liked Bentley, Terence's were-rat manservant and also an adorable dragonette that although small is lethal. The mystery behind Felicity's torments had me guessing right up until the reveal.

ENCHANTING THE LADY is a book that I cannot imagine anyone disliking. The story casts a spell on you the minute you read the opening lines and it keeps you enthralled until the last page. A must read for anyone who enjoys a well written, heart warmingly romantic story.
