We have settled on a newsletter! The Mystic Castle strives to bring original concepts to our readers, visitors and authors. We know that time is of the essence these days and wanted to create a newsletter that would appeal to all.
Take Five will be an intimate one-on-one newsletter with our authors on the website. Answering all the questions you want to know about the author on a personal level. We think getting to know the author as a person would be more interesting than the run of the mill questions about books and writing that you will probably read somewhere else.
The bonus, we are not asking the questions… YOU ARE.
Debuting June 29, 2010, our first Take Five author is Gaelen Foley.
Here is how this newsletter works. Three weeks before the release date we will open a Take Five post on our website where we invite you to ask the author a question. The period to ask questions will limited to two weeks only.
The FIVE best questions will be selected and answered in our newsletter by the author. In addition those five people who asked the question will be entered into a draw, where you have a 1 in 5 chance of winning a signed book by the author. The other four people will receive a small prize as well (bookmark, signed cover flat etc). Winners will be announced in the newsletter.
In addition the newsletter will have an exclusive sneak peak not seen anywhere else including the author’s website.
We have included this as a way of saying Thank You to all who take the time to Take Five and asked the author a question and for subscribing to our newsletter.
The bonus content could be anything from a new excerpt, or even a deleted scene, upcoming book sneak peak. It is entirely up to the author what is included here, not us!
So get your questions ready, subscribe to our newsletter and Take Five with us beginning June 29, 2010.

Fantastic idea! I was one of the people that left feedback via facebook on your newsletter discussion a few months ago. It’s nice to have our opinions taken into consideration.
