Every family has it legends, lore and pieces of history that pass from one generation to another. Yes if you truly didn’t believe that evil is an inherited trait.
Maddie and Sarah Temple were twins who had inherited a gift that they never understood and a mother who denied that it existed. They were twins in every way except one; Maddie was light to Sarah’s darkness feeding off of each other’s personalities and minds. After a horrific accident kills their father and puts Sarah into a comatose state, Maddie and her mother find the strength to begin life again. Ten years have passed without the voice of her sister in her head; she’s been a lab experiment for the government using her psychic ability as a way to manipulate their enemies. By doing this they have stirred and wakened the evil within Sarah, and is creeping into Maddie’s life slowly driving her insane.
Dr. Jarred Keith the one saving grace in Maddie’s life is trying desperately to save her from the nightmares she’s having and hopes that by doing so he can make the dream of their life together a reality. Maddie finds she is able to stay in control with Jarred beside her but she secretly fears he won’t want to stay with her after the horrible truth of her family legacy is revealed.
With Sarah out of her coma, stronger than ever she is drawing Maddie into her web of destruction making any kind of normal life with Jarred possible. Sarah’s darkness is coming and with Maddie and Jarred running for their lives, will everything explode before the real truth is revealed? Will the legacy become a curse or a salvation for the sisters?
DARK LEGACY is full of twists and turns and every time you think you have it figured out Ms. DeStefano takes another spin around the block. She’s created a spine tingling read where you have to pay attention to all the details and follow who the specific characters are in this tale to finally figure it out. But it’s well worth it! DARK LEGACY is not only entertaining but it’s downright scary in parts! I look forward to reading the next installment in this series.
